Message to Parents and Carers on 8th October 2021
Thank you for your patience and flexibility again this week. Those of you who have visited the school site today will have witnessed the excitement of the large crane and the arrival of our temporary accommodation. We finish this week with classrooms and a staffroom in situ and with services to be connected and furniture installed next week. Progress is definitely being made! 🙂
However, despite our best endeavours to maintain a business-as-usual approach since the fire we need to let you know that the Parents’ Evenings that were planned to take place next week will now be postponed until the week beginning 1st November and will all be completed virtually via School Cloud.
Ongoing works on our site and the presence of areas cordoned off by Heras fencing means that face-to-face appointments are currently not viable, especially if parents need to bring children along and leave them unsupervised whilst meetings are taking place.
Furthermore, our IT capability is not completely reliable as yet. We expect that this will be rectified once our temporary accommodation is fully functional but in the meantime we cannot guarantee that virtual appointments will be problem free!
We apologise for this change of plan and hope you will understand. The booking system for our revised Parents’ Evening appointments during the week beginning 1st November, will go live from 6 pm on Monday 11th October.
