OUR VISION STATEMENT

Our School’s Vision

A love for learning, life and one another.

Rooted in the scripture of Ephesians 3.14 – 21

Rooted and grounded in a love of God and a love of learning.

We are a primary school located in rural Wiltshire working closely with other schools within our Learning Trust. Our vision is to cultivate a community where a love of learning flourishes. We endeavour to empower individuals to embrace curiosity and develop a thirst for knowledge enabling them to achieve their fullest potential. We strive to nurture a culture where a love for one another celebrates diversity, fosters compassion, creates an inclusive community for all and gives every child, every chance. Our aim is to grow well-rounded individuals who embrace opportunity, bounce back from setbacks and feel confident to be themselves.

Our Christian vision is underpinned by Paul’s letter to the Ephesians which explains how God’s love is limitless and whilst we can never fully understand its power, we can allow it to influence how we live. Love is at the heart of everything we do at Woodborough and our values of respect, courage, forgiveness, kindness, trust and truth are lived out throughout our school community.

OUR CURRICULUM INTENT

Curriculum Intent

We ensure that all children are valued and value their place in our Christian school community.

At Woodborough, we place our children at the centre of our curriculum.

The key principles behind the design of our curriculum are for our children to:

  • be confident, independent and resilient; displaying a thirst for learning
  • be kind; showing empathy and compassion whilst valuing diversity
  • be respectful and true to their own beliefs and values
  • have cultural capital and be knowledgeable about our country and our world
  • achieve academically across the entire curriculum, meeting at least the national expectation by the end of their primary education
  • have flourished through primary school and be well-prepared for the challenges of the secondary school curriculum
  • have aspirations for the future and know that these can be reached through hard work and determination.
