CANCELLATION OF DEVIZES LIONS’ SPORTS COACHING WEEKEND, 4TH & 5TH APRIL
I am very sorry to let you know that Devizes Lions has decided to cancel Sports Coaching weekend on the 4th and 5th April this year as a result of the Coronavirus outbreak.
We know that the children expecting to participate will be disappointed and we can only say how sorry we are to have to make this decision.
Our main concern is for the health and well-being of the participants, their parents, their families, the coaches, helpers and indeed ourselves, many of whom fall into the group who are ‘most at risk’ from this illness. Having considered these factors, we reached the conclusion that we have no alternative but to cancel this year’s event.
It would be very helpful to us if you could let the children and parents know. If a note could be included in a newsletter or mailing, we would be most grateful.
Thinking ahead, would your school be willing to distribute envelopes with refunds on a “signed for” basis?
