PTA Events

Woodborough C of E School

The PTA runs a number of social and fund raising events through the year. Keep an eye on this page for details on our regular and new events through the year.

Communications regarding these events will come out via the PTA Blog. Links to the blog will be inserted in the event overview below.

The 2017-18 calendar of events is below

Please note, the events below are the core of the PTA organised events. There are other events throughout the year that will also need the school community support such as book week, global week, art week, school trips and sporting events. These will be communicated seperately via the school.

The school council also organises cake breaks throughout the year and a sponsored activity in the summer term.

What is Popcorn Club:

This is a termly after school activity for all school children.  Running from 3:15 as school closes until 5 or 5:30.  Children are given a bowl of popcorn and a drink and watch a chosen DVD on the large screen in the school hall. At half time, the children are offered a hot dog and drink.  The movies being shown are always age appropriate, and description of the film can be seen as the team start to communicate about the event. At certain times of the year, we try to offer a KS1 and KS2 appropriate film running at the same time. The children are supervised by teaching members of staff and supported by a dedicated team of PTA mums doing the cooking and washing up!  New volunteers always welcome.
