We won the ‘Million Minutes Challenge’

Following everyone’s avid reading efforts last week, we are delighted to announce that Woodborough School are the proud winners of the Achievement for All ‘Million Minutes Reading Challenge’.

All classes contributed to our fantastic whole school reading time of a staggering 51 664 minutes, with Lime Class leading the way and reading for a total of 9349 minutes.

The efforts of all of our amazing readers mean that we will be receiving £1000 of reading corner furniture and £100 of books, which will be delivered and presented later this term.

We learned about our success via a phone call on Monday morning which was broadcast live on BBC Radio Wiltshire. Listen to what was said via the following link http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02v076b#auto … you’ll find the Woodborough School part about 1 hour 30 minutes through Monday morning’s Simeon Courtie radio show.

Thank you to all children who read and read and read last week and to all the parents who supported them!
